You hear how beautiful the colors are in the fall in Northern Michigan, but unless you come here, you really can't do it justice. We headed out on September 11th for a 2 and 1/2 week trip that took us up into the UP, stopping at Traverse City, Suite Saint Marie, Pictured Rocks, Michigamee, Iron Mountain, and Mackinaw.
We saw countless water falls, and yes the colors were amazing. This was truly an amazing trip.
I'll also include a link to Jan's gallery of pictures, she's really the photographer in the family.
So let's start our trip!
9/11/2020 - 9/14/2020 Timber Ridge Traverse City https://www.timberridgeresort.net
We started our trip with a stop at one of our favorite spots, Traverse City. In this case we stayed at Timber Ridge. This Campsite is close to town but still away from the busyness that is TC. This is also where we stop for American bread from Bay City Bakery and to visit Cousins Karen and Archie up in Fife Lake!
Nothing like getting a fire going!
9/14/2020 - 9/17/2020 Suite Saint Marie Bay Mills Camp Site
Stopping at Suite Saint Marie is always fun. We stayed at Bay Mills which is the camp ground right across from the casino. While Covid 19 stopped us from going in, the camp ground served its purpose of giving us a home base to see some of out favorite sites.
Tahquamenon Falls - Light House on Lake Superior - White Fish Point - And staying in when its raining.
