June 8th: Travel Day - Ponchatoula Louisiana.
Reunion RV Resort. This place is awesome.
June 9th: ok, note to self. From now on limit drive day to no more then 8 hours lol. After a long day on the road we pulled into Reunion RV resort. I was dreading it as it had already gotten dark and I’m thinking, great I need to set up in the dark. Not a problem. this place is amazing, lazy river, pools, and our site, number 14, is right across from the putt putt course so plenty of light!
Now coffee, breakfast, then going into the French Quarter. I’ll post pictures tonight, after a round of putt putt grin.
New Orleans, NOLA, will always hold a special place in our hearts, as will the people and friends we made during my days at Whitney National Bank. We went into the quarter and while she still has all the magic, things just felt different. Many of the street artist and musicians were missing. There were some of course but you can tell the pandemic has taken its toll on this city. But I know this area and these people, they will bounce back just like after Katrina and Issac. So I look forward to future visits.
On the way back we stopped for dinner at Middendorfs . Omg the thin fried catfish was amazing!
Tomorrow we are just hanging and enjoying this wonderful RV resort as we float on the lazy river stopping at the Tiki bar!
June 10th: Relaxing day on the lazy river.
Well as promised, we just hung out and enjoyed putt putt and the lazy river complete with tiki bar.
Time to say goodbye to La. and head to Houston.
